Three defendants in Cayuga 69´«Ã½ Court have pleaded guilty to felony weapons charges stemming from an investigation by the Finger Lakes Drug Task Force.
Cayuga 69´«Ã½ District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonacci said in a news release Thursday that Paul R. Currier, Overly L. Deloach and Walter Leonard pleaded guilty following an investigation by the task force into the possession, sale and distribution of narcotic drugs. She told 69´«Ã½ that search warrants were executed at their residences in August 2024.
Currier, 39, of 69´«Ã½, pleaded guilty Nov. 12 to second-degree attempted criminal possession of a weapon (a Class D armed violent felony). During the search of Currier's residence, he was found to be in possession of a loaded .380 caliber pistol and cocaine. He is set to be sentenced in January before Budelmann and faces six years of state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision. Currier was released on bail over the objection of the DA's office, Grome Antonacci said.

Deloach, 34, of 69´«Ã½, pleaded guilty Oct. 17 to first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (a Class A-1 felony) and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon (a Class C armed violent felony). More than 8 ounces of cocaine and a loaded 9 mm pistol were found in his residence, Grome Antonacci said. He is set to be sentenced in December before Judge Thomas Leone to eight years in state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision on both counts, with the sentences running concurrently.
Leonard, 45, of 69´«Ã½, pleaded guilty on Oct. 22 to second-degree criminal possession of a weapon (a Class C armed violent felony). A loaded .380 caliber pistol and over half an ounce of cocaine were recovered during the search of his residence. He is set to be sentenced in January before Judge Jon Budelmann to seven years in state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision. Leonard is currently released on bail over the objection of the DA's office, Grome Antonacci said.
