AUBURN - James Lawrence Daly, Jr., 81, of 69传媒, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at the Commons on St. Anthony surrounded by family. Larry was born in 69传媒 on August 7, 1943, to the late James L. Daly, Sr. and Hazel M. (Guy) Daly.

Larry retired from 69传媒 Correctional Facility after twenty six and a half years of employment as a Correction Officer.

Larry was involved in youth baseball in 69传媒 and Union Springs area. Larry coached pony league, little league, and Babe Ruth for fourteen years. Larry was also an avid deer hunter who passed this along to his beloved sons. Larry enjoyed the outdoors whether coaching, hunting, or playing golf with friends.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, of 60 years, Gloria (Buzik) Daly; his children, Michael Daly (Mary Jo); her two sons, James (Kelly) Daly; her two daughters, and children; and Shawn (Ashley) Daly; grandchildren, Alex (Garrett) Fry, Amanda Daly (John Paul), Jamison Daly, Meara Daly, and Trey Walker; great-grandson, Declan James; Larry's siblings, Anne McClary, Nell (Bob) Mittiga, and Ted (Chrissy) Daly; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Larry was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Wright, Agnes Matro, and Diane Ellis.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 4 to 6 p.m. at White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St., 69传媒. Services to immediately follow at 6 p.m.
